Cafe' Ohia's signature dish has turned out to be their "sideway sandwich". Named by a faithful customer and Volcano resident because of the direction in which the delicious, locally baked artisan bread is sliced. Traditionally, deli sandwiches are served on high quality breads that are usually larger than most sandwich loaves, however Cafe' Ohia's sideway sandwich does it one better by offering bread sliced on the length of the loaf!
With an early morning opening time of 6am, daily and a closing time of 7pm, customers can enjoy Cafe' Ohia's delicious island food for breakfast, lunch, dinner and anytime in between. Tempting pastries are baked daily, a delicious plethora of hot "island style" plates are offered throughout the week, home style soups, a variety of salads with dressings made in house, can all be enjoyed along with the awesome "sideway sandwiches".
Visitors and locals have been enjoying this welcomed addition to the already wonderful village of Volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii. Easy to find, Cafe' Ohia can be located by going to http://maps.google.com and typing in 19-4005 Haunani Road, Volcano, Hawaii..96785.
You can also reach Cafe' Ohia by email at cafeohia@gmail.com or by phone at 808-985-8587.
See you sideways!
